Butterbee Scraps 2016 Wrap-Up!

Good Morning Creatives!

2016 was AMAZING, wasn’t it?! As excited as I am for 2017, there are a few things I forgot to share in 2016 (WHAT?!?!?)

Today I thought I would do a little wrap of a few projects I missed for Butterbee Scraps.

“Like a Dream” Mixed Media ATC

This ATC was so fun to make. I love making ATCs because they are a quick way to take a little creative break and actually be able to finish an entire project at one time.

These cameo’s from Butterbee Scraps are one of my favorite products. They have a vintage feel that I wanted to contrast with the funky feel of the Tim Holtz Distressboard Crown I found in my stash.

My words are from a set of stickers from “Color Splash.” I thought the saying I put together was perfect since because (to me) it looks like the little cherub is getting his groove on!

“Story Worth Telling” Card

This simple card was easily made using pre made “pocket” style scrapbooking cards from Hobby Lobby, layered with some yummy Butterbee Scraps flowers, metal embellishments and damask ribbon.

I love the vintage tones of the cards I chose, so I wanted to keep my cluster of embellishments vintage-y (that’s a word, right?!)

“Remember” Altered Box

I LOVE this project. I don’t know HOW I forgot it!

I purchased this plain wooden box at Walmart a long time ago and had been waiting to see what would inspire me. To “stain” it, I used DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Paint and Antiquing Cream to achieve a dark wood stained look.

Covering the bottom with Butterbee Scraps Damask ribbon gave it a feminine feel.

Butterbee Scraps metal beads made perfect little feet for my box.

To make my lid, I used a piece of paper from Canvas Corp and layered it under a Butterbeescraps Cabochan and finished it off with a metal chain and metal leaves.

Closing Thoughts

I hope you have enjoyed this little journey through some fun projects I had the privilege of making for Butterbee Scraps last year and I can’t wait to make more this year!

Have an amazing day!

XOXO,

Keri
