Good Morning Creatives!
How is everyone this morning?
I thought I would pop in and share some of the fun I’ve been having lately with Social Artworking by DecoArt
Social Artworking is a fun program I’ve recently joined that allows me to have creative fun and make money for my family. Double WIN!!
My Guinea Pigs
True friends will let you boss them around all in the name of art. 🙂
My friends Deana and Monica agreed to be my guinea pigs and have a little painting party in my kitchen.
We had a lot of fun.
Here’s a little snippet of our fun.
First Birthday
In late August, my little niece had her first birthday party and my sister ask if I would do a painting party for all the kids at her party.
We decided to do an owl themed party-“Whhhoooo’s turning 1?” So using Social Artworking Jr’s Bright Eyes Owl was perfect for the theme!
I allowed the kids to pick their own colors so that they could personalize their owls. It allowed for a lot of creative freedom. (We even got Grandma in on the painting!)
Of course…I have to do a special shoutout to my own kiddos!
My daughter (left) did an “Avengers” owl, my son did a “Patriotic” owl and of course my youngest…it’s all about the pink and purple.
Saving Grace Retreat
Lastly, I want to share one of my favorite events of the year.
For the last 4 years, I have had the privilege of teaching art at the annual Saving Grace Mentor/Mentee Retreat.
This year our theme was BRAVE and I decided to use the Social Artworking JR “Be Brave” design because it fit out theme perfectly.
With 60 women there, it was a large group to teach to, but it was so fun to watch everyone blossom in their own ways. Those who thought they were “uncreative” loved the idea of using the carbon paper to transfer the design onto the canvas. Those who were the more creative types, loved exploring the different way to mix colors and add more detail to their canvases.
Here’s a little sneak peek of all the fun!
Final Thoughts
These parties have been so much fun. I have had great feedback from everyone involved and can’t wait to do more!
If you are interested in attending a party, you can see my full class list on the Social Artworking Calendar or on my Facebook page: The Creative Life Studios on Facebook.
Until next time….
XOXO,
KERI
