Bible Journaling OLW 2019
Good Morning Creatives!
A few weeks ago I shared with you my “One Little Word” (OLW) for 2019. It’s the word “PATH” and it’s based on the scripture Proverbs 4:15:
I was super excited to get my creative hands on this particular verse. I used my Faith Impression kit for Gel Press in some new and fun ways!
Creative PATH
I wanted to keep things bright and a little funky so I used a combo of lime green, red and purple.
Choosing a OLW each year is a serious deal for me. It’s not about the word itself, but more about that word pointing me to a scripture that becomes the focus of my year.
That being said, I didn’t want my page to be “serious.” I wanted to keep it light and fun. That’s why I kept the colors bright and added the squiggly arrows.
To keep my focus, I wanted to make sure to add my 3 focuses for this year: HOPE, COLOR and JOY. I added a honeycomb texture to each of my stars using a foam stamp I made myself using a Sizzix Die Cut by Tim Holtz.
My journaling reads:
2018…I strayed (yup…I spelled it wrong! LOL) from my path. I became distracted and lost and uncreative. I didn’t myself to my potential or to my purpose. 2019…my eyes are focused. My heart is strong. My purpose is true. HOPE. COLOR. JOY. That is my PATH for 2019.
What about you?
Have you decided on your 2019 focus? Maybe it’s a word. Maybe it’s a quote. Maybe it’s a scripture.
A few years ago, The Huffington Post published an article “The Power of Writing Down your Goals and Dreams.” It quoted a study where they had 267 people participate, having half write down goals/dreams and the other half didn’t.
The study showed that you are 42% more likely to achieve what you are trying to do if you take the small step just to write it down.
Leave me a comment below when you have. I would LOVE to be your cheerleader!!
Until next time!
XOXO,
KERI
