Good Morning Creatives.
Today is a sad day. As many of you know I have had the privilege of working with a Canadian company called Butterbee Scraps.
After prayerful consideration, I have decided it is time to resign my term with Butterbee Scraps. I have loved my time, but feel I need to focus on what the next steps are for my story.
So..here are my final projects.
When Nothing is Sure, Anything is Possible
I am LOVE making ATCs (Artistic Trading Cards) because they are great for creative expression when you don’t have a lot of time to create.
Life is Tough…
For my final project, I wanted to do something that challenged the readers of my blog and of the Butterbee Scraps blog.
For my background, I used Derwent Inktense blocks. Simply scribble the colors on your background and activate them with water like watercolors. The only difference is once it’s dry, it is becomes permanent (like ink.)
Using Testor’s Coral Acrylic Paint mixed with The Crafter’s Workshop Clear Modeling Paste scrapped through a TCW Stencil, I added some coral texture shapes to my background.
To finish up, I layered my Butterbee Scraps metals and bling on top of a BBS Doilie and topped it off with a sticker from Photo Paper Play.
Here are some closeups!
As this is my last project for BBS, I wanted to take a moment and say how much I have enjoyed creating for this company.
I wanted my last project I wanted something to inspire and challenge you.
“Life is tough my darling, but so are you.” Is a quote from a southern poet named Stephanie Bennet Henry.
Life can be hard. People make it difficult and hurtful. Situations beyond our control can tear us down to the very core of who we are. There are moments we want to give up. Moments where we want to lay down and let the world go on around us and make the choice not to participate.
Don’t give up. Don’t hide. Don’t allow others to hold your happiness hostage.
Because YOU ARE TOUGH. Tougher than the bad things in life. Tougher than the people who would bring you down. Tougher than the little devil that sits on your shoulder and tells you all the things you’ve done wrong, which so often is louder than the little angel on the other shoulder that says you are amazing…wonderful….powerful…beautiful…tough.
I hope that through my time with Butterbee Scraps you have been encouraged to try something new creatively, but more importantly…you have been challenged to live LIFE differently.
From one tough girl to another….you got this.
Until Next time.
